Kakashi wouldn’t care would he? It was only going to be a few minutes. And Kakashi was late anyway. You had promised him to go shopping together, and he’s late. He was always late for everything. Unless it was something for the Hokage. Then, matters were different.

    You sigh as you close your eyes. The tree you were leaning against felt warm from the sun’s rays, and its leaves were in the perfect position of shading you. You lose consciousness and enter dreamland.

    And about ten minutes pass until Kakashi walks up to you.

    “…… I was late. By about 20 minutes. With no one awake to greet me.” Kakashi mutters to himself as he waits for you to move or wake up. But you give him no reaction and he sighs. He waves a hand in front of your face and you still don’t react.

    “Kakashi Sensei!!” Kakashi turns around to see Naruto running towards him.

    “What’re you doing here? Aren’t you going to be taking a break from work today?” Naruto asks as he stops next to Kakashi.

    “I am taking a break. It’s just… I was going to take a break with her, and she won’t wake up.” Kakashi says, and Naruto looks down at you.

    “Did you try making loud noises around her? That always wakes people up.” Naruto suggests. Before Kakashi could answer him, Naruto lowers his hand next to your ear and snaps his fingers.

    You still don’t react.

    “What!? I thought that would work!!” Naruto says loudly and Kakashi shrugs.

    “Naruto!” The two turned to the third voice.

    “Iruka Sensei!!” Naruto waved happily as the Chunin came running toward them. Iruka grabbed Naruto by the arm.

    “The Hokage was expecting you an hour ago!! Did you forget!?” Iruka cried out as he dragged Naruto toward the main headquarters. Iruka gave Kakashi a short bow, and Naruto waved before they disappeared behind the corner.

    Kakashi sighs. At least the loud ones are gone. He stares at you for a whole minute. This was a waste of his time; he needed to wake you up before his precious day was over. He knelt down to your eye level.

    “Hey, you want to wake up now?” Kakashi asks as he pats you on the shoulder. You shift around for a moment, but still sleep. Kakashi pets your head, but still no huge reaction.

    “Well… I guess I’ll just have to…” Kakashi lets his voice trail off, and he hugs you tight. It was as though someone was constantly sending chakura into you that made you sleep. You still didn’t react. Your face didn’t even change a bit.

    Kakashi suddenly felt impatient. Your reaction was annoying him. He was actually excited about today, and here you are, sleeping the whole time on this important and precious day. He looked around to see nobody around in sight and he lowered his mask.

    “This is all your fault.” He whispers as he kisses you. You still don’t react; but instead of getting more irritated, Kakashi smiled. “One more then,” he says as he kisses you again.

    “All right, something must be wrong with your nervous system…” Kakashi sighs at you. But he notices a change in your face. He holds his hand up against your mouth and nostrils.

    A few moments pass.

    “ARE YOU TRYING TO KILL ME!!??” You scream as you pull his hand off of your face. Your face was red from lack of oxygen.

    “Well, it’s your fault for not waking up.” Kakashi answers as he raises his mask back up. You wished you had looked at his face before he did that, instead of making a big reaction. “If you had woken up when I waved in front of your face, I probably wouldn’t have tried this.” Kakashi sighs and pets you on the head.

    Instead of tearing his hand off of his head, you let him continue petting you. Your hands rise up to your cheeks. Your cheeks were immensely warm. Maybe even in the hot area.

    “You’re red. Are you sick or something?” Kakashi asks and you shake your head. He picks up your bag and starts walking toward the stores. He turns around to you to see that you’re still standing there with a strange face.

    “—You know, Kakashi?” You say, still in the same spot.

    “Yeah?” Kakashi asks and you turn redder.

    “Never mind.” You say as you catch up to him and head to the stores.




    How could you tell him that you were actually awake ever since he waved his hand in front of your face?
